Director, Ian Lorman has nearly three decades of experience in the tree industry and further education including over 30 years as a full-time 'Tree Officer' across five different Councils in England. These roles have included tree safety inspections, analysing planning applications in respect of their effect upon trees, analysis and critique of tree reports produced by arboricultural consultants and claims for tree root related subsidence to buildings.

After beginning as a trainee tree surgeon in the early 1990s, Ian gained formal qualifications and then commenced a career in local authority. Alongside his local authority work, over the years, Ian has built up a significant client base, acting as a consultant to property developers and related professionals. These include private householders right up to prestigious architectural practices, planning consultants and Parish / Town Councils. Ian's involvement in these projects has assisted the delivery of countless property developments and robust tree health and safety auditing resulting in repeat business from many satisfied customers.
